Triumph at MEVZA U19 Championship: Czech Men and Croatian Women Emerge Victorious in Maribor

Maribor was once again the proud host of the MEVZA Under-19 Championship, featuring competitions for both men’s and women’s teams.

A total of twelve teams participated in the tournament, six in each category. These teams hailed from Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Croatia, battling it out over the course of three intense competition days. The tournament followed a round-robin format where each team faced every other team.

In the men’s category, the team from Czechia stood out, winning all five of their matches. The final match against Slovenia was decisive; a victory for Slovenia could have overturned the tournament, but the Czech team prevailed with a 2:1 win, securing first place.
