Calcit Volley has achieved an impressive feat by securing their fifth consecutive Slovenian national championship title, triumphing over Nova KBM Branik with a 3-1 series win in the “Sportklub Prva Odbojkarska Liga”. This thrilling final series captivated Slovenian volleyball fans, featuring four five-set matches and a relentless battle for every point.
In a gripping final showdown, the team from Kamnik demonstrated remarkable resilience and skill, ultimately clinching their fifth straight and eighth overall national championship title. The 2023-24 season has been particularly successful for Calcit Volley, as they also took home the MEVZA Championship title. Meanwhile, Nova KBM Branik, despite their setback in the national championship, celebrated a significant achievement by winning the Slovenian Cup in March.
Highlighting individual excellence, Maša Pucelj, Calcit Volley’s outside hitter and national team standout, was honored as the Most Valuable Player of the final series.
In the competition for the bronze medal, GEN-I Volley showcased their prowess by defeating SIP Šempeter 2-1 in their series.
