Mladost won against Bekescsaba

ZAGREB – Women’s volleyball teams Mladost Zagreb and Swietelsky-Bekescsaba played their first semifinal match of MEVZA league and Croatian team won in front of their home crowd 3-2 (23-25, 25-13, 25-21, 25-27, 15-13). 

Bekescsaba opened the match better and in the end won first set by a slim margain. In second set, Mladost came out much better and they dominated from the first point winning it in convincing fashion. Third set was again tight one but Mladost managed to close it better and take 2-1 set lead. Fourth set was similar to most of the match. Teams were playing great and set was decided by two consecutive points from Bekescsaba so the match had to be decided in the fifth. Final set was, again, similar to three of the previous four sets. Great plays from both teams but in the end Mladost was able to win it and take 3-2 lead from the first leg of semifinals. Return match between this two sides is gonna be played on March 7th in Hungary. 

“I am very satisfied with today’s game. Good defense and play through the middle. We play in Hungary for seven days. It will definitely be easier to play because we won in Zagreb. I hope so that we will play in final”, said head coach of Mladost Zagreb Miodrag Stojakovic. 

“Congratulations to the team Mladost . Everything is still open, today Mladost played very well, but next week is new game and everything is still open so we must win in Hungary if we if we want to play in the final”, said Gabor Toth, head coach of Swietelesky Bekescsaba.
