MEVZA: HAOK Mladost defeated by ACH Volley Ljubljana

ZWETTL – Mladost volleyball players were defeated by ACH Volley Ljubljana on the third day of the MEVZA tournament.

Right from the start ACH Volley started out strong and showed their quality all throughout the match. Nevertheless, the Croatian team kept fighting and managed to score some brilliant points by hitting down the line. The first set was over before it began, it took ACH Volley 15 minutes to end the first set, the final score being 25:15. HAOK was able to keep up with the strong Slovenes in the third set until 15:15, after that ACH Volley seemed to be unstoppable. Finally, the current MEVZA champion Ach Volley has won their last match with the same strong performance they already showed in the games before. ACH Volley left the MEVZA tournament with 3 clear wins, confirming their streak from last year.

“We had the chance to give some younger players the opportunity to play. I am really satisfied with how they performed. I think we played a different level today, which is why we won. However, I am sure the young Croatian players will learn from this and grow stronger”, said Radovan Ga?i?, coach od ACH Volley.

“The game went as expected. ACH entered the game as the favorite and they showed their quality. It was easier to play for us today because the expectations were different. We will analyze the game and learn from this”, said Toni Kova?evi?, player of Mladost Zagreb.
