MEVZA Beach Volleyball Senior Championship Set for Benešov

The MEVZA Beach Volleyball Senior Championship 2026 is set to take place from May 7 to 10 in Benešov, bringing together top beach volleyball teams from across the Middle European region. The tournament will feature both a qualification phase and a main draw in both men’s and women’s competitions.

In each competition, the main draw will consist of 16 teams: 12 teams have already secured their place, while the remaining four spots will be filled by teams advancing through the qualification phase.

In the women’s competition, 16 teams will compete in the qualification round, with only the best advancing to join the main draw. Among the top-seeded teams already in the main draw are Czech pairs Kleiblova/Dvornikova, ?erná/Lorenzova and Honzovicova/Pospisilova, highlighting a strong home presence.

The qualification phase also features a deep and competitive field, including teams from Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary and Israel, all aiming to secure their place in the main draw.

A similarly strong lineup is expected in the men’s competition. The Czech duo Perusic/Sedlak headline the main draw, followed by several other competitive pairs from across the region, including teams from Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia and Luxembourg.

The men’s qualification tournament will also feature 16 teams competing for the final four places in the main draw, ensuring high-intensity matches from the very start of the competition.
