In the second match of the opening MEVZA League tournament in Podgorica, Israel’s Hapoel Kfar Saba faced Cyprus’ Lemesos Volleyball. After four competitive sets, Lemesos emerged victorious with a 3-1 win (25:21, 23:25, 21:25, 22:25).
Hapoel Kfar Saba started the match strongly, setting the pace early. The Israeli team dominated the first set, closing it 25:21, demonstrating clear control and confidence.
The second set was far more suspenseful. Hapoel maintained the lead for most of the set, even holding 20:18, but Lemesos responded with a decisive run to take a 22:20 advantage. Hapoel managed to level at 23:23, but in the crucial final moments, Lemesos showed composure and secured the set 25:23.

The third set featured intense rallies and powerful points from both sides. However, Hapoel’s player number 5 suffered an injury late in the set, disrupting their rhythm. Lemesos capitalized on the situation and won 25:21, taking a 2–1 lead in the match.
The fourth set remained a tightly contested battle with continuous ties and fierce exchanges. Ultimately, Lemesos maintained focus during the closing stages and sealed the match with a 25:22 set victory, earning their second consecutive win in the MEVZA League.
