The draw for the MEVZA Junior Club Championship was held today, officially setting the stage for the upcoming tournament, which will take place in Zadar from February 12 to 15th. Young club teams from across the MEVZA region will compete in both the men’s and women’s categories, with several exciting matchups already guaranteed in the group phase.
Men’s Competition
In the men’s tournament, teams have been divided into two groups.
Group A features a strong international lineup, with Hungary’s Penezugyor Sportgyesulet, Czech side VK Brno, Israel’s Maccabi SVA Rehovot, and Slovenian club OK Fuzinar Ravne all set to battle for a place in the next phase.
Group B consists of three teams: Kecskemeti Junior Sport Nonprofit Kft. from Hungary, TJ Spartak Velike Mezirici representing Czechia, and Croatian club VC Ribola Kaštela, who will have the advantage of playing on home soil.
Women’s Competition
The women’s tournament will be played in two groups as well, featuring a particularly diverse field.
Group C includes the CRO Team, Hungary’s Újpest Torna Egylet, Israeli side Ramat Aviv, Austria’s Union Bisamberg Hollbrunn, and Lemesos Volleyball from Cyprus.
In Group D, Croatian club OK Olimpik will compete against Békéscsabai Röplabda SE from Hungary, Maccabi Hadera from Israel, and PVK Olymp Praha from Czechia.
The MEVZA Junior Club Championship in Zadar promises four days of high-level junior volleyball and an excellent opportunity for young players to showcase their talent on an international stage.
