The 2026 MEVZA Men’s Senior Beach Volleyball Championship came to an exciting conclusion on Saturday in Remerschen, Luxembourg, with Czech duo Olsansky/Westphal claiming the title after an impressive performance on the tournament’s final day.
The day began with the semifinals, where Olsansky/Westphal (CZE) secured a 2-0 (21-18, 21-15) victory over Slovenia’s Jevsnik/Mugerli to advance to the gold medal match. In the second semifinal, Slovakia’s Nemec/Jancok prevailed in a thrilling three-set battle against fellow Czech pair Oliva/Kuthan, winning 2-1 (21-18, 18-21, 15-12).
In the bronze medal match, Jevsnik/Mugerli bounced back from their semifinal defeat to claim third place with a convincing 2-0 (21-12, 21-16) victory over Oliva/Kuthan.
The championship culminated in an exciting Czech-Slovak final between Olsansky/Westphal and Nemec/Jancok. After losing the opening set, the Czech pair responded in impressive fashion, taking the next two sets to secure a 2-1 (17-21, 21-17, 15-10) victory and the 2026 MEVZA Men’s Senior Championship title.
