In Nova Gorica, the Kamnik team was clearly the better opponent. They won all three sets against GEN-I Volley, resulting in a final score of 3:0. They were particularly dominant in the last, decisive set. On the guest side, Anja Macek was the most successful player with 14 points, while Polona Frelih scored 15 points for the home team from Nova Gorica.
„We played our first MEVZA match against Gen-I Volley and won 3:0. On the opposite side, we had strong opponents, so we really had to put in the effort. We certainly did not show our best game today, but with determination and persistence, we managed to see the match through to the end“, told Maša Pucelj, CALCIT Volley player.
„Today’s match was a big challenge for us, especially after yesterday’s defeat. We tried to play and show our best game, but the Kamnik team was better. It is a good stepping stone and a lesson for the future, so I think we just need to persevere and keep our heads up,“ said Tia Koren GEN-I Volley player.
