Croatian and Hungarian Federations Strengthen Cooperation at MEVZA Final Four in Osijek

Alongside the on-court action at the MEVZA Men’s League Final Four in Osijek, representatives of the Croatian Volleyball Federation and the Hungarian Volleyball Federation held a productive meeting, further strengthening their long-standing cooperation.

The discussions focused on future joint initiatives, with both sides emphasizing the importance of developing volleyball through more international competitions and providing greater opportunities for younger players, both in indoor and beach volleyball.

Frane Zanic, President of the Croatian Volleyball Federation and MEVZA Sport Director, expressed his satisfaction with the meeting, highlighting the strong relationship between the two federations:

“We have had very good cooperation with the Hungarian Federation for many years. In recent years, especially with new leadership, we share the same views on the development of the sport.”

He added that both sides are aligned in their ambitions for the future:

“After today’s meeting, I can say that we will try to organize as many competitions as possible together, to bring more spectators into arenas and to provide opportunities for younger categories to compete at European and World Championships.”

From the Hungarian side, Gabriella Vatai also underlined the importance of collaboration:

“We had a very successful meeting with the Croatian Volleyball Federation. We believe European volleyball has a great future, and we are ready to work together, support MEVZA and take part in as many events as possible.”

Meanwhile, the tournament in Osijek is reaching its conclusion. HAOK Mladost Zagreb claimed the bronze medal with a 3-0 win over SK Zadruga AICH/DOB.

Attention now turns to the final, scheduled for 20:00, where hosts MOK Mursa Osijek will face MAV Elore Foxconn in the battle for the MEVZA title.
