VK Dukla Liberec started their CEV Champions League campaign

On Tuesday night the highly anticipated Round 4 of the CEV Champions League Volley 2022 – Women started in a full swing, with as many as four exciting matches played across Europe. In Pool C, Dinamo MOSCOW started their 16th consecutive #CLVolleyW campaign with emphatic 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-20) win over VK Dukla LIBEREC.

Dinamo Moscow under guidance of new head coach Konstantin Ushakov enjoyed a perfect start to their 16th consecutive campaign, earning important straight-set victory on home soil over VK Dukla Liberec. The hosts took control on the court from the first whistle, being powered by the captain Nataliya Goncharova, who had an excellent opening of the game, scoring as many as 9 points and winning the opener in confident way 25-19. Although, both coaches rotated with their squads, Dinamo kept the momentum in the next set ending it with the same score. However, the third set was a way more competitive. After a passionate point-by-point race it was Dukla to lead 17-15, but the hosts were extremely motivated to finish the game quickly what they actually did. Goncharova who tallied match high 17 points was named the MVP.

– Dinamo outblocked Dukla, scoring 12 direct points (Dukla only 4).
– Dinamo’s captain Natalia Goncharova was named as MVP after scoring 17 points and having 60% of success in attacks and two blocks.
– Nikola Kapilova was the best scorer of Dukla with 16 points.

“It was a good game for us, I think. This result is important. We should improve many things in our game, but we won and we started with a good win. Our block helped a lot. Also service and good attack helped us today. We prepared for Dukla. It’s a good team with good defence, they keep the ball. They don’t make mistakes much, and this is difficult for Dukla’s opponent”.
