UVC Holding GRAZ suffered a 0-3 (20-25, 17-25, 21-25) home loss at the hands of MEVZA League table leaders and title holders ACH Volley LJUBLJANA on Friday night. The ‘Orange Dragons’ have not dropped a single point in the eight matches they have contested so far. Austria’s reigning national champions, on the other hand, are currently sitting in sixth place in the standing on four points with a 1-5 win-loss record. Lorenz Rössl and Michael Ladner split the best scorer’s honours for the hosts with seven points each, while ACH Volley’s Jure Orkoglic topped the match scorers on a total of 11 points.

On Saturday, SK Zadruga AICH/DOB (3.) will be facing OK MERKUR MARIBOR (2.), while OK Calcit KAMNIK (5.) will be hosting TJ Spartak MYJAVA (7.). “We have our back to the wall after a bad start in the season. Therefore, we must win all the coming matches in the main round. There is nothing more to say,” KAMNIK’s Jan Klobucar explains. The 28-year-old outside hitter has been struggling with injury problems in the past weeks. “But now it is getting better and better, I also felt quite good on the court on Wednesday.”
