MEVZA League – ACH Volley Ljubljana celebrated seventh win in a row | European Cup results

In the Men’s MEVZA League, ACH Volley LJUBLJANA cruised to another impressive victory on Wednesday night. The defending champions needed just 73 minutes to defeat SK Zadruga AICH/DOB 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-22). Top scorers at the Tivoli sports hall were Matej Kök and Marino Marelic on 14 and 13 points, respectively. On Friday, the ‘Orange Dragons’ will get their next opportunity to record another win at underdogs UVC Holding GRAZ.

Already last Monday, OK Merkur MARIBOR celebrated a 3-1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-22, 25-20) away win at MEVZA League rookies TJ Spartak MYJAVA. Therefore, Slovenia’s reigning national champions are level with compatriots ACH Volley LJUBLJANA, both on 21 points. Austria’s former champions SK Zadruga AICH/DOB are currently sitting in third place in the standing on 12 points. The team from Carinthia will be challenging OK Merkur MARIBOR next Saturday.
