Women’s MEVZA League back in action with two match-ups on Wednesday

On Wednesday, the women’s MEVZA League will be back in action after a break of two weeks. While Vasas Óbuda BUDAPEST (HUN) will be hosting Nova KBM Branik MARIBOR (SLO), the current competition leaders OK Calcit KAMNIK (SLO) will be facing bottom of the table OK Marina KAŠTELA (CRO).

“We did not clash with OK Marina KAŠTELA last season, but we played against each other the year before. It is definitely a quality team. In their only match so far, they suffered a 0:3 defeat at the hands of Mladost ZAGREB, but that dates back more than three weeks. OK Marina KAŠTELA have a national team libero, Rene Sain, in its squad, as well as two excellent outside spikers from position four and also a strong opposite. Therefore, it will certainly not be easy for us,” Gregor Rozman, head coach of OK Calcit KAMNIK, explains.

The hosts are facing some injury problems. Rozman: “We have to count on every player at all times, this has been my mantra since I started coaching. Everyone who comes on the court has to add its own pebble to the mosaic. This is essential in Volleyball!“

Live streaming of all matches is available for fans to follow the competition as closely as possible.
