The 2020-2021 edition of the MEVZA League will continue on Sunday evening with the eagerly-awaited matchup between OK Calcit KAMNIK (SLO) and SK Zadruga AICH/DOB (AUT). While the hosts have qualified for the 8th Finals of the CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup 2021 after impressive wins over OK Vardar SKOPJE (MKD) earlier this week, the Austrian heavyweight suffered a disappointing straight-set loss at the hands of Dukla LIBEREC (CZE) on Wednesday. Therefore, their CEV Volleyball Cup 2021 campaign already came to an end in the 16th Finals.
“I think we are performing better now than we did at the beginning of the season. However, we will also have to confirm that on the court on Sunday. To be honest, I do not know a lot about the team of SK Zadruga AICH/DOB but we will definitely have to perform very well to secure three points,” Calcit KAMNIK opposite Miha Bregar said.
The Slovenian side collected two points out of the two MEVZA League matches they have contested so far. SK Zadruga AICH/DOB, on the other hand, will try their best to improve their win-loss record to 2-3.
