The CEV President Aleksandar Boricic has been reelected to the helm of European Volleyball for another 4 years. Mr Boricic received an overwhelming majority of votes (36 out of 55) to stay at the top of CEV and as such also a member of the FIVB Board of Administration (BoA).
Last week’s XLI CEV General Assembly was the first such in-person meeting to take place since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic across all sports. Next to the presidential election, also the members composing the CEV BoA for the 2020-2024 term were chosen.
On the side of the President Aleksandar Boricic (SRB), will be Lubor Halanda (SVK), as one of the Vice-Presidents and Zdeslav Barac (CRO), Gernot Leitner (AUT), and Metod Ropret (SLO) as members of the BoA.
At this occasion the MEVZA President, Mr Karl Hanzl also congratulated President Boricic for his reelection: “I want to congratulate first Mr Boricic for his reelection. Wish him another successful term at the top of European Volleyball and that the cooperation with MEVZA would also continue to be as productive as possible. Also, pleased to see so many MEVZA members on the CEV BoA, which just confirms the importance of the Middle European region in European Volleyball.”
