Mladost ZAGREB challenge ACH Volley in the men’s top game

The men’s MEVZA League resumes this coming weekend with four fixtures. Bottom of the table OK MARIBOR (SLO) will host Mladost BRCKO (BIH) and Calcit Volley KAMNIK (SLO) will play past season’s silver-medallists SK Zadruga AICH/DOB (AUT) on Saturday night as well.

“We expect a tough match against Mladost BRCKO but we will try our best in front of our home crowd. Bosnia’s reigning national champions possess the current best MEVZA League scorer in Jovan Delic. The opposite hammered 85 points in four games so far”, OK MARIBOR head coach Sebastian Skorc explained.

Titleholders and current competition leaders ACH Volley LJUBLJANA (SLO) look forward to facing second-placed HAOK Mladost ZAGREB (CRO) in this week’s top game, while Mladost Ribola KASTELA (CRO) will clash with Union Raiffeisen WALDVIERTEL (AUT) on Sunday. Earlier this week, ZAGREB moved into the third round of the CEV Champions League after overpowering AICH/DOB in a Golden Set.

In the women’s competition, Calcit Volley KAMNIK (SLO) top the current standing. On Saturday, they aim for the fifth consecutive MEVZA League win at OK KASTELA (CRO). Their closest pursuers Nova KBM Branik MARIBOR (SLO) are going to welcome UOK Banjaluka Volley BANJA LUKA (BIH), as GEN-I Volley NOVA GORICA (SLO) will fight for the third place in the charts with ZOK Bimal-Jedinstvo BRCKO (BIH) on Saturday as well.
